Important dining information
We offer a 15 minute grace period for your reservation. If you anticipate being late, please let us know otherwise we may need to offer your table to those on our waiting list or walk in guests.
Reservations are for up to 2 hours from your originally confirmed start time, including late arrivals. As our venue has limited space and operates on two seatings, we kindly ask that tables be returned in time to accommodate guests for the second seating. During busy periods and special occasions, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings, we may gently ask for the table a little earlier to ensure all guests enjoy a comfortable and relaxed experience. When availability allows, you are most welcome to stay a little longer.
Seating is generally assigned starting with the banquet seats unless you request the sushi counter. Reservations are allocated in the order they are received and once banquet seats are fully booked, your seating may be arranged at the sushi counter. We’ll always do our best to accommodate your seating preference though it cannot be guaranteed.
To help us manage your tables smoothly, cancellations or no shows including reducing your party size, made within six hours of your booking, incur a $50 per person fee and any prepaid deposit will be forfeited. Rest assured, all credit card details are handled securely by OpenTable.
For parties of seven or more, we may ask that all guests order from our tasting menu. Young diners can often be accommodated differently depending on the group, so please let us know in advance to help us make suitable arrangements. A 10% service charge will apply to your final bill. Please note that a minimum spend may apply for group bookings (The 10% group booking surcharge is not considered part of the minimum spend). If you have dietary requests, special arrangements or need any assistance, just email us at info@bysang.com.au and we’ll be delighted to help. Please note that last minute dietary requests or changes may not always be possible. We’d greatly appreciate it if you could let us know in advance whenever possible. This helps us ensure the best dining experience for you and your guests.
Whilst we do our best to cater for most dietary requirements (certain religious requirements excluded) please note that some special dietary needs may incur an additional charge. We reserve the right to decline requests based on personal preferences (i.e. requests not related to allergies or medical conditions) as well as medical related requirements that are excessively complex or impractical in a restaurant setting.
Intolerances and allergies will be accommodated to the best of our ability; however, guests should be aware that dishes containing egg, shellfish, dairy, gluten, nuts, sesame and other allergens are prepared within the same kitchen. While every effort is made to sanitise equipment prior to preparation, cross contamination may still occur despite our best efforts.
All reasonable care will be taken but no responsibility can be accepted for any adverse reactions. Guests with severe or life threatening allergies are kindly advised not to consume our food as we are unable to guarantee an allergen free environment and cannot assume liability should a reaction occur.
At by Sang, guests of all ages are most welcome. For everyone’s comfort and safety, we kindly ask that all guests, including little ones, remain seated throughout your visit.
While our wine list is extensive, we understand that you may have a special bottle you'd love to enjoy. You're welcome to bring up to two bottles of wine.
Corkage is $35 for the first bottle and $50 for the second.
Strictly limited to 2 bottles per booking. Wine only.To ensure smooth service, we kindly ask that guests settle the bill in a single transaction as split bills and payments are not available.
A 10% surcharge applies on Sunday.
A 15% surcharge applies on public holidays.
